New Website Design Mockup: Portage Chrysler

Something New to Show You:

Back at it again at Convertus - Just passing off a quick update to show you what our design team has been working on. We're working hard at revamping how a traditional dealership website looks, and refreshing all our functionalities from the ground up to show you what the future of a dealership website will look like.

We took a hard look at our users, and using a number of analytics tools from VWO, Google Analytics, Hotjar, and more, we studied in-depth by focusing on the following:

  • Our Website Traffic & Analytics
  • Our Widget Functionalities
  • Our Search Algorithms
  • Our Inventory Management Systems
  • Our User Interaction Models
  • Our Lead Generation Forms

Our goal was to figure out:

  1. How are our users interacting on our websites? And,
  2. Are they finding what they are looking for?

Here is what we came up with:

This is a completely fresh design built from the ground up. Not only did we focus on modernizing the design, the question that we set out to answer in this sprint was "How can we get users to their destination faster, and easier?". We found out that most users are typically on the website looking for the vehicle inventory, so we placed the call-to-action buttons right at the very top, emblazoned with an image of Chrysler-specific vehicles to catch the users' attention.

Along with that, we simplified the number of buttons across the home page, and increased their size for easy reading.

Here is what the old website looks like.  It is not responsive, so I cannot show you what it would look like on mobile. But in my opinion, is a huge step down from what automotive websites should look like.

This website mockup was designed with the Sketch App, and will be fully responsive on Desktop, Tablet & Mobile. Let me know what you think in the comments below.
